Getting started
To track, evaluate, and manage your securities, Portfolio Performance needs the basic data about your securities accounts and past transactions. After that, you can immediately perform your first evaluations and analyze your portfolio and its performance from various perspectives.
Installation
You can either use one of the pre-compiled installation files or compile the complete application yourself. Portfolio Performance is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Creating a Portfolio File
Your first step is, of course, to create a new portfolio file with your accounts. The portfolio file contains all securities, accounts, depots, transactions, classifications, etc.
Creating a Security
You create the securities you are interested in in the security list. Master data and historical prices are automatically added and updated by Portfolio Performance.
Managing Your Portfolio
So far, you have created your portfolio file with a list of favorite securities. Now it's time to buy and sell some of these securities, receive dividends, and set up a savings plan.
Evaluating Your Portfolio
Performance and risk assessment are important, so Portfolio Performance offers several ways to evaluate and track them.
Classifying Asset Allocations
With your own structure, you map the weighting of asset allocations, e.g., by region and/or asset class.
Defining a Portfolio Strategy and Performing Rebalancing
You map your own portfolio strategy with target values for different asset classes. You can make a target-actual comparison and perform rebalancing.
Keeping the Portfolio Up to Date
You book new purchases, sales, and dividends, as well as all incurred costs and taxes. This is quick and easy by importing the bank's PDF statements or by manually maintaining the data.
